December's Boulder
SPOT THE BOULDER!

Weeks of early Winter rain and the rock is not at its best. But, between the ribbons of
snotty slime and running water, the odd patch of dry grit might be found for those
desperate to shake off Christmas sloth.
Unusual for this slabby little crag, there is one small undercut bulge that occupies (more
than expected) those searching for a stronger pull. Home for a small bag of eliminates,
traverses and sitting starts (V0-V3), it also provides a start for this delightful
little arete (V0).
Have a good New Year and crisp dry January.

Instructions are not really necessary!
But once you've done the arete from a sitting
start, try the slap over the bulge immediately left (V0+). Next, try the ordinary route but
without any the chalked up big holds; just the tiny crimps and (GET OFF that flat hold)
only slopers on the shelf (quite nice; V3?). Finish your workout by traversing leftwards,
low, without using the big crack... which you won't as it's a river bed in December (V3).
Where is it?
